Jewish Family & Career Services partner with AWDA to teach IT Skills!

AWDA is collaborating with The Jewish Family & Career Services, Inc. and Project Connect to provide computer training and employment services to unemployed, under-employed or homeless Fulton County residents (targeted residents) that will lead to employment.

IT Skill Builder classes consist of a series of courses to equip students with computer knowledge and skills in preparation for the workforce.

The class covers the following courses.

  • Operating systems Microsoft XP and general functioning of a computer.
  • Typing and Keyboard techniques
  • Basic Microsoft word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Internet and Email
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word.

The class runs for 7 weeks, three days a week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The lessons are three hours long. All the classes are conducted at ADWA. Only students who meet selection criteria are enrolled for the classes. If you are interested in taking the IT Skill Builder Class, please contact AWDA at 404.658.9675.
