AWDA is offering free workforce readiness courses to Atlanta residents in search of long-term employment opportunities. Courses include:

Industrial Maintenance, a basic construction course which includes carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and safety training;

Computer Training, a six-week basic computer training and skills builder course, internet access for job search, and Microsoft Office for employment related activities as well as school related projects and assignments;

GED courses in partnership with Atlanta Public Schools, for individuals who have not yet earned a high school diploma; and
-
ISI Training, a computerized occupation-specific skills program designed to provide interactive self-paced courses for AWDA customers preparing for entry-level employment in high demand occupations.
AWDA is also offering:

Resume Writing and Workforce Readiness courses where participants learn to complete resumes using chronological, functional or a combination of both types of resumes, the “do’s and don’ts” of interviewing, good work ethics, punctuality, appropriate attire, and being a team player.
