Atlanta Fire-Rescue Cadet Program: Our Path to the Future

      April 3, 2007

Eleven seniors from various Atlanta Public School High Schools have begun early preparation to become Fire fighters for the City of Atlanta. The Fire Cadet program allows students to learn fire service skills such as fire suppression, emergency medical assistance, fire & life safety education, social development, communications and leadership skills through participation in both hands on and academic instructional activities.

Students should contact their school counselor for additional information. Or contact the Fire Cadet Program Coordinator Firefighter Melodie Moss at 404.853.7042 or email at MEMoss@AtlantaGA.gov.
