AWDA and AHA Thank Marva Richardson

Customers participating in the Atlanta Housing Authority/Catalyst program at the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency presented a “thank you” gift to their GED Prep teacher, Marva Richardson.
Ms. Richardson, an Atlanta Public School educator, has been teaching GED Prep courses at the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency since 1994.
AWDA partners with Atlanta Public Schools to provide GED classes for individuals who have not earned a high school diploma. GED preparation is a comprehensive program that offers three course levels; basic, intermediate, and advanced. Onsite classes in reading, writing and math are offered to GED candidates.
AWDA has partnered with the Atlanta Housing Authority to offer residents who are residing in Atlanta Public Housing access to services and training needed to gain and maintain self-sufficiency. AWDA provides these customers with resources such as resume writing techniques, job readiness skills, GED Prep, skill training, computer literacy, and employment opportunities.
