“Last Call”
Training Info -Session for Atlanta E Z Residents
October 19, 2009
Rm. 240
10am -12:30pm
As the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency (AWDA) approaches the final stages of our training program funded by ACoRA, we wanted to go out with a “Bang”. We are making one last attempt to offer training opportunities to all Atlanta Empowerment Zone Residents. In partnership with the Atlanta Technical College, we have developed some short term curriculums that will engage residents in promoting job readiness, exposing them academically to various career fields and the enhancement of their resumes with a credential. The new short term programs include: Forklift training , Financial Literacy, Business Entrepreneurship, Introduction to the healthcare profession and Introduction to the Childcare profession. These trainings do not require a High School Diploma or GED, however completing High School requirements will be strongly recommended to residents as a means to taking the NEXT STEP in paving their career paths.
