Grievance Rights Under WIA

This Recipient (Atlanta Workforce Development Agency) and all agencies operating with WIA funds are prohibited from discriminating against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, political affiliation or belief, citizenship or participation in programs funded under WIA, in admission or access to, opportunity or treatment in, or employment in the administration of, or in connection with, any WIA funded program or activity.

This applies to proposal review, selection of Service Providers, and contracts with Service Providers; subcontractors and other dealings with subcontractors, including Training Employers; recruitment, training, benefits and services offered to WIA applicants and participants; recruitment and employment of staff.
